Dubai Hotspots 2.0

I landed back from Dubai this week. 11 days in June was HOT I promise you, but this trip was a little more career and networking focused than my vacay here last year (see my first Dubai blog). I still managed to find time for some new hotspots so here they are. . . . .

HEAT (Healthy Eats And Treats) – “Feeding Dubai’s athletes.”- Jumeirah Beach

If you fancy a break from all the luxury indulgent options in Dubai, just enjoy getting your micronutrients in or need somewhere ‘macro-friendly’ this place needs to be on your list.

Black Tap – Jumeirah Al Naseem/ Rixos

A complete contradiction to HEAT this place is full of treats you should definitely have in moderation! Regrettably we had Mexican for dinner just before visiting this beautiful heaven of sweet treats and struggled to even manage half of the shakes we ordered!

Comptoir 102 – Jumeirah 1

One of the best concept stores in the city, this really is a hidden gem away from the big Malls, combining jewellery, homeware and an organic café. Mixing the ‘bohemian ethos of comfort with a trendy unconventional direction’ you need to visit to understand the  ‘curated eclectic mix of fashion, interior design and furniture from around the globe’ that this award winning location is full of!

If you follow my insta you will know sunset at the beach is a must for me. I visited some old and some new beaches on this visit…

JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence)

Music playing, all the restaurants, cafes and retail shops you could need, it’s perfect. Easy to access via the tram and close to the Marina, you can see why it really is such a hotspot!

Kite Beach

A little quieter and a little breezier, with lots of people kite surfing. Amazing to watch, especially at sunset. No other comments needed. Go, you won’t regret it.

La Mer

A newer development in Dubai, this beach screams urban chic vibe. From restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and retail to showers in mini beach huts, this place is full of character. The street art and fairy lights make the evenings even more beautiful.

I did take a lot of days off training while I was away, but I managed to make it to a couple of places 100% worth sweating for!.

Beyond Human

A new(ish) start up smashing the game. Hidden in an industrial estate this place is one to watch. A functional training facility with high standard Personal Trainers, qualified nutritional information and the incredible BH Amazon bootcamps.

Fit Republik

Somewhere I’m struggling to describe. I have never seen anything quite like it. In their own words it is a “full range state-of-the-art sports facility in the heart of Dubai Sports City.” A beautiful, clean, well equipped gym, cross-fit functional areas, weight lifting, swimming pool, gymnastics, martial arts, cafe the list does go on. Visit, you won’t regret it!

This city honestly does have it all, I will be back.

Where will your next stamp in your passport be?

All my global, jet-setting love,

J xoxo
